2025 State Science Technology Fair of Iowa

March 27 & 28, 2025 Hilton Coliseum

The Iowa 4-H Program’s State Science + Technology Fair of Iowa (SSTFI) serves as a platform for student researchers (grades 6 – 12) to meet with professional researchers and communicate their findings and understanding of the research process. The SSTFI is an affiliate of the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.

The State Science + Technology Fair of Iowa is OPEN to ANY student (grades 6-12) residing in or attending school (public, private, parochial and homeschool) in the state of Iowa.

There is NO qualifier fair (local, conference, district or regional) required for participation.

Seminar Competition

Did you know we have another competition within SSTFI? Submit your project research paper to be selected to present an electronic presentation at SSTFI! 

Seminar Requirements

Papers should include the following:
Abstract
Research problem & hypothesis
Procedure or experimental design
Research data
Research summary/conclusion
Bibliography

 

Formatting Seminar Paper

Title Page includes:
Researcher’s Name
Grade
Category (Biological or Physical)
School
Title
There should be no other identifying information in the research paper! 
Times New Roman Size 12 font.

AWARDS CEREMONY

Special Awards Ceremony – 5 pm March 27, 2025

Grand Awards Ceremony – 5 pm March 28, 2025
